WE PRODUCE ORGANIC FRUITS UNDER "BIOS" CERTIFICATION
The Farm Sartori owns 12 hectares of land that has been devoted to organic farming (EEC Reg. 2092/91) since 1997: 1 hectare to fruits growing (cherries, peaches, plums, apples, melons), which are later sold in the farm as well as in organic food shops; the remaining surface to grassland, and the fodder produced is devoted to feeding milch cows belonging to another organic farm.
The choice for organic farming is based on fundamental values among which ecosystem respect, environment protection, respect for bio-diversity, environmental-friendly development as an alternative to chemicals.
In order to guarantee organic produce characteristics, the European Regulation foresees a Control System for each phases as regards production, transformation, packaging and marketing. Please, bare in mind that only products from farms certified by one of the Control Agencies legally recognized by the Ministry of Agricultural Policies are allowed to be labelled “from organic farming”.
Our farm is certified BIOS. Association for the Control of organic products. |
